Just wanted to say a little hello, as it's my first time posting on this forum – I've lurked for a fair while though…

I have a mad fascination with Anne Boleyn and all things Tudors and have fallen in love with this website, particularly over the last month or so with the articles leading up to today, a sad anniversary for all of us on Team Anne.

I am a big fan of history in general, but focused on American history for my degree. It was my mum, who has long been interested in the Tudor period, that sparked off my interest and I now can't read or watch enough of the vast amounts of books and films/TV shows dedicated to the period.

I'm lucky enough to live just outside London and work in the city also, and hope to visit the Tower of London, the various galleries and of course Hever Castle very soon – I hope you run a similar Anne Boleyn Experience sometime in the future as it looks amazing from your updates – I'm also dropping heavy hints to the hubby about the Anne Boleyn dresses on your site… Wink

Anyway, thanks for running such an awesome site!

Hi!  I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have!  What degree do you have and where do you work?  I ask because I'm a huge history buff and plan to major in history myself once I graduate high school and reach college.

I work just off Oxford Street, which is great in one sense that it's so central, but is very bad for my bank account because of all the shops…

I studied a joint honours degree in journalism and contemporary history in London, but the course was closed down this year, which is a bit sad as it was pretty cool.

Am finding the site very useful – currently have two books on the go as well, both by Alison Weir, who's writing I really enjoy – halfway through The Lady in the Tower and have just got to 'Jane Seymour' in the Six Wives of Henry VIII. Fascinating stuff!

Welcome.  I live in America and would love to someday walk where the Kings and Queens of England have trod.

Hope you enjoy the site.

Lady In The Tower is excellent.  Weir is such a fabulous writer.

Hi Bambaleyn,

Welcome to the AB Files, it's great to “meet” you! By the way, I find subtle hints to husbands just don't work, you have to lay it on really thick and be very obvious!! Laugh

That sounds cool.  Sorry about your bank account though!  Haha.  I actually just finished Alison Weir's “The Six Wives of Henry VIII” and am now reading “The Children of Henry VIII.”  I really enjoy her writing; it is readable and supported by interesting facts and thorough research.
