Were Anne Boleyn and Mary Boleyn close friends/sisters?

No, I don't think they were close. Anne and her brother George were very close as they had so much in common - both were very intellectual, both loved the Arts and were also interested in religion and reform, and both shared the same wit and sense of humour - but it does not seem that Anne and Mary had anything in common apart from both being involved with the King and also having spent time in France.
