Was Anne Boleyn’s father a very mean man and by that I mean did he do things that led people to their deaths besides his son and daughter (or at least contributing to their deaths in some way)?
My own personal opinion of Thomas Boleyn is that he was not the mean, manipulative "pimp" that you see in The Other Boleyn Girl or The Tudors, but was simply a man of his time, a courtier and an ambitious man who wanted the best for his family. I can't see that he was guilty of leading anyone to their deaths. Some may blame the Boleyn faction for the excutions of Thomas More and John Fisher but I think Henry VIII has to take responsibility for their deaths. They did not submit to the King, they rebelled and were disobedient and that meant that they were traitors in Henry's eyes.
