http://www.love-poems.me.uk/boleyn_anne_o_death_rock_me_asleep.htm is this really a poem written by Anne Boleyn? And what do you think about this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/booknews/7295739/Poem-provides-evidence-that-Anne-Boleyn-had-numerous-affairs.html
O Death has traditionally been associated with Anne Boleyn but Eric Ives points out that the ladies who waited on her in the Tower, and whose job it was to spy on her and report everything back to Sir William Kingston, made no mention of her writing any poetry or letters. Most historians do not believe it was written by Anne.
As for the Lancelot de Carles poem, which G W Bernard uses as evidence against Anne, we have to take into account the fact that De Carles worked for the French ambassador and that all of the information they received about Anne's fall would have come from Cromwell and therefore would have been propaganda.
