Did Henry VIII either have his own horse or a favourite?

In her book "Henry VIII: The King and His Court", Alison Weir writes of how attached Henry VIII was to his horses and that one of his favourites was called Canicida. She also says that in 1529 the King "made repeated visits to his stables just to see his favourite Barbary horse (possibly Governatore), which was enjoying a comfortable retirement". He also bred horses and was the first English king to race horses. See chapter 12 "All Goodly Sports" in Weir's book which has lots more information about Henry's horses.
