Did Elizabeth I ever visit her mother`s grave?

Rating: +0

Positive Negative

I haven't seen any mention of her actually paying her respects to her mother's grave in the chapel but the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula is the Chapel Royal of the Tower of London so Elizabeth would have visited it.

I think Elizabeth felt that it was better to let sleeping dogs lie when her mother had been executed as a condemned traitor and Elizabeth had been declared illegitimate. There were many people blackening Anne’s name at this time and Elizabeth was facing challenges to her throne so it was best to keep her feelings for Anne and what happened private.
