Catherine Howard Sapphire Crystal Necklace

This necklace is a replica of the one worn by Catherine Howard in the Hever Castle portrait. In the portrait, Catherine wears this necklace along with the Sapphire Brooch which we also replicate. Henry VIII showered Catherine with jewels and it is thought that he gave her these.
This beautiful necklace features:-

  • A gold plated filigree decorated with glass sapphire stones to form a flower shape on the pendant
  • A necklace chain made up pof gold plated filigrees decorated with glass sapphire and crystal stones in pretty gold lace settings
  • White glass pearls sitting between the filigrees on the chain
  • A lobster clasp and necklace extender to adjust the fit

This beautiful, unique and collectible bottle cap Catherine Howard necklace features an image of Catherine Howard holding The Tudor Rose with pieces of antique botanicals of red and white roses and ornamental papers and bookplates. One of the symbolic meanings of red roses is “passionate love” and white roses mean “purity”. King Henry VIII called Catherine, “A rose without a thorn”. The Tudor Rose is a combination of the red rose of The House of Lancaster and the white rose of the House of York. Catherine is also know as Katherine or Kathryn.

Pendant might have a different lens handle than pictured. Optical lens handles do vary as they are vintage and are based on what Tiffini has in stock. Picture shows a variety of lenses. Even though most of the lenses are over 100 years old, she only uses lens that are in very good condition.
