Thomas More Collar
This beautiful pewter replica of the collar worn by Thomas More in the famous Holbein portrait is handmade by Steve Millingham, a British jeweller who has supplied pieces of jewellery for “The Tudors”, “The Other Boleyn Girl”, the West End production of “A Man For All Seasons”, Hampton Court Palace, The Tower of London, English Heritage, the National Trust and various museums.
Henry VIII State Chain
This state chain is a perfect replica of the chain worn by Henry VIII in the famous Holbein portraits. It is handcrafted by Steve Millingham, a British jeweller who has supplied pieces of jewellery for “The Tudors”, “The Other Boleyn Girl”, the West End production of “A Man For All Seasons”, Hampton Court Palace, The Tower of London, English Heritage, the National Trust and various museums.
The chain is gold-plated pewter and features:-
- 288 simulated pearls
- 7 flat black onyx cabochons
- 8 large carnelian cabochons
- A large, domed, central Black Onyx stone
It measures 140cm and is a heavy chain which is bound to draw gasps of admiration. See “more details” for availability.
The Henry VIII State Chain is handmade in the UK and will take around 4 weeks from order to dispatch to make it and plate it.

The Order of the Garter was introduced to England from France during the reign of Edward III, who restricted the number of Knights in the Order to twenty six. The motto ‘Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense’ translates to ‘Evil to him who evil thinks’.

This pewter chain is a replica of a late 15th century chain which represented a period of reconciliation between the Yorkists and Plantagenets.
