For some reason the forum doesn't know that 9 +7 = 16….

It protects the forum from robot spam posts so I don't really want to get rid of it as I'll forever be deleting stuff. I haven't noticed any problems with it so that's a bit weird. What do you mean about the 12+9? Sorry it's a pain but I just don't want loads of spam.

I've modded before so I'm aware of all the stuff which tries to get on. I don't mind the maths questions, it was sending out freaky answers.

It gave me 12 + 9 = 20 twice  in several hours. It seems to have stopped now, though.

I'm kinda disappointed that I haven't got a maths question 'wrong'. LOL. I really think it's a nifty way to prevent spambots. Much much better than those annoying what words do you see, which quite often I struggle to see correctly.

You are not alone there Bill, numbers I can see, fuzzy letters no. Oh for the days when I didn't need glasses, now it's varifocals!

I can't cope with those letters either, there are always two words and I can always read one fine and the other one is unreadable!!

I saw the other day Trevor Bannister had died. I had a crush on his character on Are you being served?. Then I realised it was over 35 years ago….now I know I'm old….

I find getting old is a lot better then the alternative!Wink

I was looking through my old guide book for Hever yesterday and the admission charge to castle and gardens was 5 shillings (a crown or 25pence as you prefer), now I know I'm old too.

LOL…Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has trouble reading those letters.  I came across one when I was trying to send a clipping to a friend.  They gave the option…click here for handicapped.  I had tried a few times and couldn't read it, so I ended up clicking the handicapped bar….couldn't read that one either.  I gave up.  As long as I have my fingers and my toes, I prefer the math.

It's playing up again.

4+3 doesn't equal 7 anymore. But 3+ 4 does….

It appears to be a time-delay thing. Bad me  for starting a post and then wondering off to deal with real life

A few months ago, I was having this problem intermittently. Maybe I was doing the math part before I'd finished the post, and it would highlight the "Do Math To Save" part (as it does when you're correct), but would then reject the post for a math error when I finished fiddling around with the post. It hasn't done it lately. I'm tempted to do it with this post to see if it works or not.

ETA: And it worked fine, so another fine theory bites the dust.

I've never had a problem, I've been a moderator on a forum and things like the maths required are good as these spam bot things are a pain so Claire do keep them!
