Claire Ridgway
Claire Ridgway, creator of The Anne Boleyn Files, is a British writer, researcher and historian who spends every day researching Tudor history and writing about Anne Boleyn and the Tudors. She leaves no stone unturned in her quest to find out the truth about Anne Boleyn and to educate people about Anne’s story.
Claire freely admits to being a Tudor history addict, a real Tudor ‘nut’, and loves running The Anne Boleyn Files as it gives her the perfect excuse to immerse herself completely in the 16th century, talk Tudor all day and wear Tudor dresses and jewellery.
Claire released her first book The Anne Boleyn Collection in February 2012.

Brilliant page. I have just discovered it. THANK YOU for creating such a place. I feel like I just won the lottery!! I had given up on doing research on the internet as I could only find ‘standard’ information on AB. I need to dust up my knowledge, it has been a while since I had an intelligent discourse on Tudor History. I’m always the odd one out in my circle’s interests, I’m always attempting to study this subject. You have provided the key and answers to my thoughts. I hope to learn from you how to do research, I live in the US, so I will have to live vicariously thru you. I just wanted to say what a billiant web site this is, so much rubbish is written about Anne and it’s wonderful to see a place where the information is accurate and well researched.
I have enjoyed Tudor history since a teenager thanks to a number of good history teachers and a wonderful english teacher who reccommended Jean Plaidy to me.
Not a great fan of some of the historical novelists around today, I did have a disagreement with someone the other day who had read The Other Bolyn Girl and maintained that every word contained in the book was correct becasue the author “said so”………….I told the lady I was speaking to that having read the book myself it was a good bit of escapism hoilday reading but if she wanted to find out the facts to start by reading David Starky or Alison Weir………..for some reason it didn’t go down too well.
I found this site by downloading a sample of the collection you’d put into book form for my Kindle and have added it to my wish list, have found it fasinating to read and it has brought a greater understanding of her life and times to me!

Hi guys. I too am faincted wit the tudor s and all things historical. What i would like to know is why everyone is so hard on phillipa gregory? Surely, parts of history are simply subjective, as we simply can not ‘know’ everything that happened, as we were not there. I have been advised to read ms.ridgway’s work, which i will duly do. I am curious as to what she can tell me that is not already in the vast series of ms.gregory. I hope i am not disappointed. I learned about latter, by chance, through an american girl on the net. C
