11th May 1536 – The Kent Indictment

On this day in 1536, the Grand Jury of Kent met at Deptford to rule on the alleged crimes of Anne Boleyn and the five men committed at Greenwich Palace, East Greenwich and Eltham Palace.

Also, around this date, the prisoners were interrogated by members of the King’s council.
